German online lessons - professional classes with experienced native German teacher

After completing my university studies, I gained my first experience in teaching German as a language assistant in Mexico and developed my teaching competences during my DAAD lectureship at the University of the Basque Country from 2014 to 2019. Finally, between September 2019 and May 2021, I realized a professional training at the Goethe Institute and the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, which provided me on the one hand with some new stimuli for my own teaching and helped me on the other hand to reflect on the teaching practice I had acquired up to that point.

Online German course in all levels - A1 to C1

Since March 2021, I have been working as a freelance online teacher for various institutions and acquired experience with learners from different contexts and different levels. Furthermore, I have the examiner certification of the Goethe Institute for the levels A1 to C1, which enables me to assess the level of a learner correctly.
As a teacher, I see myself first and foremost as a hiking guide who develops and explains the learning route to my learners, taking into account their interests, as well as recognising the "dangers" and "obstacles" on the long path of language acquisition and making them passable by means of diverse learning opportunities. The latter include, for example, working with different (also authentic) text types, the use of digital media as well as communicative exercises and tasks that correspond to thereality of my learners' lives. In my lessons, grammar is always taught in a context-related manner. In addition, the promotion of intercultural orientation is another important principle of my teaching,
which is based on the combination of different didactic method concepts. At the same time, it is personally enriching for me to meet people from other cultures, to bring them closer to my culture and language and thus to contribute to the rapprochement between cultures. Moreover, and not least thanks to my own foreign language learning experiences and my intercultural competences acquired abroad, I am able to put myself in the shoes of foreign language learners.
